Planning Your Visit?

Wherever you are in your faith journey, we welcome you to The United Church of Los Alamos. We are a Christian church affiliated with six Protestant denominations*. As a diverse congregation, we celebrate wherever people are at in their spiritual journeys. All are welcome in this community, Sanctuary and at Christ’s Table.

What to Expect When You Visit

Our Worship Services are usually an hour long followed by a coffee fellowship time in the foyer. Stop by our Welcome Center in the lobby to get more information about our church.

Sunday Morning Schedule

8:30am: Prayer Group in the Chapel

9:30am: Worship Service in the Sanctuary

10:30am: Coffee Fellowship in the Foyer

11:00am: Sunday School for all ages in the Christian Education Building (except during summer)

Come as you are! You’ll find people dressed in all styles from casual wear, jeans or dresses, to jackets and ties.

Child Care and Kids Ministry

If you have children, we have an excellent nursery for ages 0-4, which opens at 9:15 am. You'll find the nursery next door to the Sanctuary in our Christian Education building. Child care is available during the 9:30am worship service and also during the Sunday School hour at 11:00am. We provide pagers for parents or guardians who have little ones in the nursery.

Safety is of utmost importance to us. As part of our child protection policy, our teachers and caregivers have all completed back-ground checks.

If you have a child age 5 or older, we welcome them to join the Children’s Moment during the main service, and the children’s Sunday School class at 11:00am.

Children's worship bulletins and activity packs are available from the ushers.

Accessibility for All

Our campus is fully accessible and has plenty of wheelchair accessible parking near all entrances. Click here for a parking map

For the visually impaired – Large-print worship bulletins are available on Sunday morning.

For the hearing impaired - “Inductive Loop” hearing assistance is available in the Sanctuary and Chapel for people with “T Coil” capability in their hearing aids.  It amplifies the audio signal, and cuts out much of the background noise.

Offerings

During the service when the offering is received, please don't feel obligated to give—we're just glad you are here! Making an offering allows people the opportunity to give, and support the ministries and mission of the church. You may fill out a connection card and place it in the offering plate or at the Welcome Center.

Sunday morning classes for all ages are held from 11:00 am - 12:15 pm except during the summer.  To find out more about class offerings, please visit this page or stop by the Welcome Center. Child care ages 0-4 is available during adult classes.
